Hello folk.
Has anyone had any success freeing off a rear handbrake cable or am I better off just buying new?

I've just replaced both rear calipers with new pattern parts from MX5Parts but the offside rear handbrake doesn't work at all.

It maybe a case of removing the old one and see if you're able to free it off, I can't be 100% sure but it's a possibility that the inner cable is plastic coated and may have broken down inside.

Looking at the cost of a brand new one from MX5 Parts, it might be worth contacting Andrew at Autolink to see if they have some good condition second hand cables.
