Reading about BBS “hub caps” - for want of a better term - and how they can go missing I decided to take a couple of steps to protect my wheels. Replacement centres can be £100 up on certain sites, so you can guess where they end up. The caps are held on by a simple hexhead M5x16 screw so I have replaced them with the equivalent as a security screw. I have also bought shallow open ended locking wheel nuts in steel. Both purchases on eBay. Although the security screws may not stop a determined thief hopefully the opportunist doesn’t have the right tool on his Swiss army knife (or their Chinese cheap copy).
