Bought a new snow foam applicator as my plastic one cracked, it wasn't much cop anyway as it gave a very watery foam. I bought one with brass fittings and a bigger (1 ltr) bottle.
I also bought AutoGlym Polar Blast snow foam.
Combination of both gave a very satisfying layer of long lasting foam on the Citroën (hadn't run off even after 15 minutes) and lasted about 5 minutes on the ND but that is ceramic coated so is very slippery. Saying that, it still had a good covering.
I did both cars with one and a half fills of the 1 litre bottle, 10% foam to 90% water and on minimum mix setting on the mixer.
Very pleased with the result.

Snow foam seems to be quite popular at present. I gather it is designed to loosen surface contamination before a contact wash? Once you've applied the snow foam and let it sit you would then power wash the remnants off before going over the car with buckets and wash mitts/sponges?

Thanks RS.
I do like the idea of treating my cars but have concerns over TOG's bonnet louvres letting too many suds and too much moisture into the engine bay. 🤔
Are there any pressure washers that work purely on a reservoir or do all need running water? The only tap I could use is a mixer and has a weird connection. 😏

Now that looks pretty good RS. With your experience, what are your thoughts on that one?

To be honest, I've never used one but it looks an ideal solution to not having a mains pressure hose available, just a bit of a pain having to walk backwards and forwards with buckets of water.
