Hi all
My 2012 PRHT did not come with locking wheel nuts. Do people bother these days? My impression is that since the greater majority of cars have alloy wheels these days they are not so worth 'pinching'. Indeed, the 'great unwashed' seem to prefer pinching our catalytic converters these days rather than alloy wheels as they are considered more valuable. In any case, again my impression is that locking wheel nuts can be unlocked anyway with the right know how or tool. I recall with my previous ND the dealer lost the locking wheel nuts but they seemed to unlock them without too much trouble. So what is the general view here....to lock or not to lock the wheels? If the answer is 'yes', where have people got there's from and what is the view regarding the most secure?
Answers on a post card please...

My ND came with them. My Eunos have ones I purchased as the (original) wheels are worth more than the car! The covers have "secure" hex screws to deter opportunists as they too are expensive and difficult to source replacements.
NC are five stud fixings, whereas all the other marques are 4/100 so I don't know if that makes them more or less desirable to pinch.
Are they (locking wheel nuts) worth it? I have no idea, but maybe a little peace of mind.

I would treat locking wheel nuts as a visual deterrent, I'm sure that people who are determined to steal wheels will come armed with all the right tools to remove them, if locking wheel nuts are fitted, it might just delay them before getting caught ?

Yep that makes sense. I've ordered a decent set from Euro Car Parts. As you say, at least they're a visual deterrent.
Cheers
