Hi all,
Another thread on TOG's issues. This time, an overheating problem.
During last summer she did get very hot once or twice in slow moving traffic and I had to use the heater on full to bring her temperature down.
Recently she got too hot stationary on the ramp for the MOT station to complete her emissions test.
I went to her today and noticed that the header tank was empty.
After topping that up I ran her up to temperature. The top hose got hot and the fan kicked in. The gauge stayed in the middle and wouldn't rise even after a few minutes of 3.5k revs running on the spot.
Could it have simply been an airlock that's now cleared?
There is no sludge in the oil and the radiator is full.
Any other thoughts anyone?
