I renewed my insurance on the MK1 in March and I have to provide them with the odometer reading as it's on limited miles. It showed that I'd done 221 miles in a year But then I've got another one as well, but only did 752 miles in that one

Last Year This Year Looks like in my 769 kms of driving, I drove over some sharp slate or similar and cut the thread. Advised to keep an eye on it but don't need to change the tyre. Need an "O" ring for the fuel filler cap - tried my c*ck ring, but it's too big.

OK, got a new "O" ring from Boots, ooops, I mean AutoLink for a reasonable £1.79p, plus p&p, plus VAT and it's a bit over £6 - still cheaper than £40 for a new "genuine" Mazda one that doesn't get a very good review.
Was it a very thorough MOT that this was spotted? If they didn't find anything else to complain about (other than the cut to the tyre thread), then the rest of the car must be OK.
BTW, I reminded them it was an import and CAT exempt, but they tested under full conditions as well, to see if it made any difference, and it passed with no problems on both settings. Well pleased!
